Marqués de Dos Aguas Palace: the rococo of Valencia

18 January 2019

Located very close to the Town Hall Square, in what was probably once a Roman necropolis (it was outside the walls of »Valentia»). This monumental palace is nicknamed »The little Versailles», it doesn't have huge gardens (only a tiny courtyard), nor big rooms, but it has so much beauty and so many details of different styles that it is without a doubt a building that you can't miss.

The Palace

The last reformation dates from the 18th century and we can see a totally baroque façade with a gate full of symbolism alluding to those who lived in this palace.

Inside there are different rooms, each dedicated to a different theme. Inside you will also find the national museum (which is saying a lot) of ceramics, from the Neolithic period to the present day. Need more reasons to visit this gem?
